I had a mixed experience at Jun Guesthouse. The location was fantastic, being so close to the airport railway and the vibrant Hongdae shopping area. However, I encountered some discomfort with the bed's springs and had issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Overall, it's a solid choice for solo travelers if you don’t mind a few quirks.

Rooms

The room was fine, though the bed was slightly uncomfortable due to the springs, affecting my sleep. Self check-in was easy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere.
Service
5.0
The staff was generally helpful, although I had a frustrating experience with the bathroom situation upon my arrival. I was directed to a public toilet instead. Poor clean-up practices were a letdown.
Location
9.0
The location was a major highlight. It’s nestled in a quiet alley near the metro and just a short walk to the lively shopping district, making it easy to explore Seoul.
Dining
8.0
I didn't explore dining options, but the nearby area had plenty of eateries and dessert spots to satisfy cravings.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were basic but functional. I would have appreciated some slippers for the common areas and a bit more space for larger luggage.

My stay at Jun Guesthouse had its highs and lows. While I enjoyed the location near Hongdae and found my bed comfortable, the check-in experience and certain facilities left much to be desired. The cleanliness and maintenance issues made me question the overall quality of my stay. 😕

Rooms
6.0
The bed in the 6-bed female dormitory was quite comfortable, although the outlet next to my bed was a bit troublesome as it wouldn’t hold my phone charger well. I appreciated that the self check-in process was easy and that the beds were generally good, but it's frustrating that there wasn't much space for larger luggage.
Service
5.0
Service could definitely improve. After my flight arrival, I was told I couldn’t use the bathroom and was sent to a public toilet at the metro station. Additionally, I felt uneasy when the owner accused me of breaking the toilet flush without proper evidence.
Location

Jun Guesthouse's location is fantastic, nestled in a little alley near Hongdae shopping street and a metro station on line 2. It’s very convenient for exploring the area!
Dining
5.0
There were limited dining options at the guesthouse, only some snacks available. I wish there were more amenities for dining or communal meals to foster a social atmosphere.
Facilities
5.0
The shared facilities were only okay. I liked having slippers provided for the shower and toilet room, but I felt some items, like slippers for the common area, were needed to avoid wearing boots every time.

I had high hopes for my stay at Jun Guesthouse due to its perfect location near Hongdae and the airport railway. unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by several issues. The daily cleaning routine was intrusive, requiring me to leave my room for four hours each day. and despite that, I still found mold in the bathroom. Plus, the bed was uncomfortable with noticeable springs poking me. While I appreciated the self-check-in system, overall, I left feeling unsettled and disappointed.

My stay at Jun Guesthouse was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, tucked away in a little alley near the Hongdae shopping street. However, I faced several issues that made my experience less enjoyable, particularly with cleanliness and service.

Rooms
6.0
The bed was comfortable, but the lack of space to store larger luggage was inconvenient. Also, the outlet next to my bed was odd as my charger wouldn’t stay in it, though it did work.
Service

I felt unsafe when my security locker number was changed unexpectedly, and the staff made me leave my room for cleaning for four hours each day. it felt excessive, especially since cleanliness was still an issue.
Location

Being near the train station and a stone's throw from the vibrant Hongdae shopping area was a highlight. It made exploring the city incredibly easy.

I didn't dine here much, but the French fries offered were decent. Still, I didn't find much variety in food options.
Facilities

My stay at Jun Guesthouse had its highs and lows. The location was fantastic, and the self check-in made everything smooth. However, I encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance that dampened my experience.

Rooms

I stayed in a 6-bed female dormitory. The bedding was comfortable, though I noticed some maintenance issues like the outlet by my bed being a bit unreliable. Still, it was generally quite cozy.
Service
5.0
The check-in process was straightforward, but I was disappointed to be asked to leave for cleaning for four hours every day. The response regarding bathroom access after my late flight was also less than helpful.
Location

The guesthouse is tucked away in a little alley near the Hongdae shopping street, which I loved. It's close to metro line 2, making it easy to explore the city.
Dining

I didn't really dine here other than getting water, but I noticed a mention of a delicious Manchego ratatouille, which sounds promising if you're in the mood!
Facilities

While it had some nice features, I felt the lack of proper slippers for the shared areas could be improved. The common areas could use some cozy additions to enhance the atmosphere.
